J. Nicholas Galt
Chairman/CEO

J. Nicholas Galt is the Executive Chairman of the TSL Group. Nick, as he prefers to be known, is recognized regionally for his entrepreneurial personality.

He is also well known for his Software Development expertise, a field in which he has been involved for the past thirty years.

Nick maintains a varied portfolio in both the business world and the NGO communities. Besides his role as Chairman of The TSL Group, he is the Vice Chairman of the Governing Board of Directors of the Association of American Chambers of Commerce of Latin America (AACCLA), a Washington D.C. organization and sister of the U.S Chamber of Commerce. He is also a past president and sitting Board Member of the American Chamber of Commerce of Trinidad and Tobago, Board member of Youth Business Trust Trinidad & Tobago, Chairman of United Way’s 2008 campaign of Trinidad and Tobago, and Chairman of Esprit Consulting (previously Ernst & Young Consulting Group). He is also a liaison Officer for the Guillain Barre Foundation of Philadelphia, U.S.A.

Nick was appointed to the Senate of Trinidad and Tobago as an Independent Senator (Temporary) during the period June 20th to July 3rd 2008.

Derek Tang Nian
Corporate Secretary

Derek Tang Nian joined Trinidad Systems Limited (TSL) in February 2007 as General Manager of TSL Leasing Company Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of TSL. Within the first year of joining the group Mr. Tang Nian was appointed as a Director on the TSL Board as well as the Corporate Secretary of TSL Grenada Limited, TSL International Limited, MESO Limited and TSL.

Prior to joining TSL in February 2007, Mr. Tang Nian had been a career banker with over 18 years experience in this sector and his last position was that of Branch Manager of ANSA Merchant Bank's San Fernando office. In 2002, Mr. Tang Nian was awarded a degree with honours in Computing & Information Systems by the University of London and was instrumental in having ANSA Merchant Bank become the first non-bank financial institution become a member of the Trans Union electronic credit bureau.

Peter Thavenot
Director - Client Relations

Peter Thavenot joined TSL in December 1982 as Director of Sales. In 1996, due to the continuing expansion of the organisation it became vitally important to focus on customer service. For this reason, Peter shouldered the responsibility of leading the client relations and marketing team. His passion ensures that the highest quality standards for achieving customer expectations are met and maintained,throughout the organisation.

Peter's attention to detail and his organisational talent lends to the company's numerous successful product launches and expositions. Peter is also responsible for determining financial assistance to charitable organisations and ensures that the projects undertaken are executed with pride and compassion in the belief that helping the less fortunate in society is a major item on our corporate social responsibility agenda.

Brian Louis
Director - Support & Training

Brian joined Trinidad Systems Limited in October 1993 in the position of Software Support Representative, with primary responsibility for the implementation of HRp release 3. He also provided on the ground software support for an accounting application used by other customers. In his career at The TSL Group, Brian grew from Customer Support Representative, to Team Leader in November 1997, then onto becoming Manager of the Software Support Department in August of 2000, then ultimately joining the Board of Directors in 2004.

Today Brian leads a team of highly motivated and skilled engineers who support over 300 local and regional customers across many industries using HRp5 and a host of other Software applications ranging from Accounting and Time & Attendance to Business Intelligence and Document Repository.

With his 15 years experience in customer support and training at The TSL Group, and an additional 5 years in customer service in the private and public sectors, Brian’s continued focus on ensuring his team has the training and skill to provide both personal yet professional customer service sets them apart from other service providers in our industry.

Dale Laughlin
Managing Director - DocuCentre Ltd

Dale Laughlin is an Executive Director of the TSL Group and Managing Director of DocuCentre Limited, the Group Company that provides quality Digital Print on Demand services. She brings many years of executive level experience in Marketing, Sales, Operations and Human Resource Management. In addition, Dale is an experienced facilitator, with a particular commitment to helping Companies who seek to implement effective learning strategies and embrace Quality Customer Service as a major strategic goal.  

Dale currently serves on Amcham’s Promotions and Entertainment Committee. She is also a Director of United Way’s 2007/2008 Campaign as well as the Youth Business Trust of T&T. She is a Past President of the Rotary Club of Maraval, Trinidad of which she has been a member since 1995.

David Borde
Managing Director - PetroCom Technoplogies Ltd.

In 2007 David Borde returned to Trinidad from Houston, TX to launch PetroCom Technologies as part of the TSL Group to provide the regional oil and gas sector critical high end exploration and production services. 

David has an extensive network in the oil and gas industry based on several years with Fortune 200 multi national service providers as well as at the entrepreneurial level.  His experience spans the application of new technologies from the geosciences to reservoir evaluation and high performance critical equipment monitoring and diagnostics. His business development focus includes organizing start-up ventures, initiating product launches, developing new markets, contract negotiations and building strategic alliances. 

After graduating, David’s started his career with Trinidad Tesoro Petroleum as a geophysicist. In particular, his E&P focused industry knowledge and experience are based on over 20 years in the oil and gas industry as an oil company explorationist and in the service sector where he focused on geophysics, geology, prospect generation and reservoir analysis. Over the years David developed global strategic alliances with oil and gas majors, national oil companies, independent oil companies, and technology providers.

Gillian Crooks
Director - Implementation and Consulting

Gillian has lead an interesting career in the computer systems field. She has excelled in the fields of retail and hospitality in her previous positions. Gillian has gained tremendous experience and knowledge during her twenty-two years of service with TSL, and is a very valuable asset to our company and its partners.

The growth of the company in the field of automated office equipment, and systems, called for Gillian's expertise to once take up the sales mantle and became the Xerox ISO Manager (sales Director) and today holds the portfolio of Executive Vice President, Consulting and Implementation.

Nicole Galt
Director - Human Resources

Involved in the field of Human Resources for the past fourteen years plus, with a very hands-on approach to Managing the Group HR.

Sits on the Board of TSL, TSL International, and Meso (Outsourcing Company focusing on payroll at this time) a member company.

Nicole is also engaged in various NGOs including - The American Chamber: Programs and Events committee, United way, St. Joseph’s Convent Past Pupils Associations, HRMATT (Human Resources Management Association of Trinidad and Tobago, ECA (Employer’s Consulting Association), and is a Guillan Barre Liaison for the West Indies.

Roger Galt
Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer

Roger has spent the past 30 years in company finance. He previously worked with a local medium sized industrial service company as its Financial Comptroller and Corporate Secretary where he spent 14 years until joining TSL in 1997as its Finance Director & Corporate Secretary. Roger was appointed to the position of TSL’s Chief Operating Officer in 2006 and has maintained his portfolio of Chief Finance Officer while engaging in this new role.

He has spearheaded the implementation of many of TSL’s objectives and continues to actively provide support to the many initiatives which TSL undertakes while executing its vision of providing solutions’ excellence. Roger is a also a director on the board’s of TSL International, TSL Leasing Co. Ltd., Docucentre Limited, PetroComm Technologies Ltd., Meso Limited, TSL Barbados Ltd, TSL Jamaica Ltd., TSL Grenada Ltd., TSL St. Lucia Ltd., & TSL St. Vincent Ltd.

Roger plays a vital role in the strategic management of the companies listed above and is often an integral part of the Group’s Customer and Vendor engagement activities. He is intimately involved with the daily operating activities of the Group and is extremely passionate about business structure and productivity.

Sean Grosvenor
Director - Logistics

Sean Grosvenor has been with the TSL Group for the last eleven years and has contributed valuable experience and knowledge to the development of the Logistics Department. When he first joined the TSL Group as a Logistics Supervisor, he brought with him six years of experience from FT Farfan. Today, he has grown from a Supervisor to the Logistics Manager and was ultimately appointed to the Board of Directors in 2006. He oversees the Purchasing, Inventory Management, Customs Clearance and Distribution of Goods for the TSL Group of companies. Sean also has an administrative role in the maintenance of all TSL facilities.

Stuart Franco
Director - Sales

Franco, a Fatima Old Boy, graduated from The University of Western Ontario with a double major in Economics and Statistics. He has eight years work experience in the IT Industry and spent the last five with the TSL Group. He holds the position of Vice President of Sales for the Group and his responsibilities include TSL’s Sales for the entire Caribbean Region. He was appointed to the board of Directors in his fourth year with the organization.

Colin Mowser
Director - Equipment Maintenance & Hosting Services

Ultimately responsible for the support, maintenance, service of all Various types of machines including: - Time recorders, Computers, IBM, Lenovo and other brand names, Xerox Equipment, Fax Machines, UPS Systems, Lexmark Printers, Datacard Equipment, Verifone Equipment, Triton Equipment. The management of all spare parts for the systems and equipment we market. On-going exercise to increase quality service and customer satisfaction.

His portfolio also includes the Management of a Host of Software Applications and a Help Desk Operation covering Multiple Clients throughout Trinidad and Tobago.

Jean Victor de Silva
Director – Structured Cabling

In 1976 Jean left Trinidad to reside in Canada and returned to the Caribbean in 1983. After many years in Antigua and Barbados he has returned to Trinidad to be closer to his family.

Jean has over 25 years of experience in the ICT industry. He was CEO of a leading Technology company in the North-Eastern Caribbean for 22 years and partnered with international companies such as Xerox, HP and NCR. He has gained in-depth knowledge in the delivery of value added solutions and services. As a former Director of a large regional ICT company Jean has worked extensively throughout the English speaking Caribbean and has a sound knowledge of these markets.

He joined the TSL team in early 2008 as Executive Vice President of the Structured Cabling Division. The Division in addition to supporting other offerings of the TSL Group, offers the regional markets technical expertise in the design and implementation of building infrastructure for ICT networks/AV/IPTV. In June 2008 he was appointed to the TSL Board of Directors. Jean brings a wealth of business experience which will be utilized throughout the group.
